Why Play on 16×16 Resolution?

Let’s talk performance. 16×16 (256 pixels per block face) is the default resolution of Minecraft. That means downloading the Best Minecraft 16×16 Texture Packs will absolutely not drop your framerate. In fact, many of these packs are specifically designed to increase your FPS by removing unnecessary animations, transparent leaves, and complex models.
